As a North APAC Regional Head, you will be responsible for the daily running of the operating unit. This will also include representing the business in the region (internally and externally), overseeing all aspects of the business such as financials, operational KPI’s, sales forecasting, strategic planning, and acquisition integration.

What you will be doing

  • Be accountable to deliver the agreed turnover, margins, and service level budgets for the company, including the management of the regional P&L (including operational costs, EBIT, pricing strategy recommendations).
  • Define and implement a 5-year strategic plan supporting the overall global objectives and drive initiatives to achieve organizational targets. You will be able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and continually seek ways to improve processes and implement creative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Have overall responsibility for sales (including the customer experience regarding pre- and post-sales support). You will support strategic deals and initiatives and act as the figurehead for the region (spokesperson for the region and senior government engagements). Commercially astute, you will understand the external and internal competitive landscape, create opportunities for market and portfolio expansion, work with customers, markets, new industry developments and standards. This includes engaging in high-level negotiations to generate lucrative contracts or build beneficial relationships with partners and individuals.
  • Develop customer service levels of excellence including overseeing operations delivery (defining the right KPI and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction).
  • Lead our business development efforts in the region by acquiring new customers and expanding our share of business with existing customers. Having in-depth knowledge of the regional market, you will oversee market analysis to identify key trends and growth opportunities to drive innovation and expand our addressable market. Whilst ensuring and leading the ongoing inputs for future requirements (product innovation, operational best practices, etc.).
  • Oversee the management of all HR matters in conjunction with local and regional HR executives in line with the company’s HR policies and procedures. You will coach, motivate, and mentor an enthusiastic team to continually develop their skills and capabilities.
  • Have overall responsibility for business risk assessments for the business.

What we are looking for

  • Proficient in consultative sales and business management skills with a focus on solving customer pain points.
  • Able to effectively capture customer requirements and work collaboratively with sales engineering to create technical solutions.
  • High degree of conscientiousness, attention to detail, and ability to overcome roadblocks that delay or hinder customer satisfaction.
  • Expert in building and strengthening customer relationships; finding better ways to meet customer needs.
  • Experienced in leading across a multi-disciplined organization in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; networking outside and inside the organization and building positive relationships with key individuals and groups.
  • Strategic thinker able to absorb complex business issues and draw the right business recommendations whilst ensuring alignment to corporate objectives.
  • Displays good judgement by being able to diplomatically deal with complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Always act ethically, maintaining the highest personal and professional integrity.

Education and/or Experience

  • Hold a BA or BS in related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of business experience with progressive responsibilities driving growth.
  • Understanding of the access control market and its competitive environment, including deal activity and potential opportunities.
  • Solid leadership and management experience, including strategic thinking, innovation, coaching and mentoring and collaboration.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing P&L.
  • Experience in working for European or American, and Chinese entities.
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile will be a plus.

Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English and Mandarin (verbally and in writing).
  • Must have ability to write articles, conduct presentations and be able to present to internal senior executives as well as customers in both languages.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in using tools such as Sales Force.
