Senior Compensation Specialist will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of global compensation programs and initiatives, ensuring consistency with HID Global’ s compensation philosophy and alignment with overall strategic objectives.

This position will work in conjunction with Senior Program Manager, Total Rewards, responsible to drive a high-level of collaboration with the broader HR team and key stakeholders throughout the business providing analytical support and complex evaluations ensuring that our pay programs attract and retain top talent, reinforce our values, and drive a high-performance culture.  The successful candidate will also ensure continuity in the development and continuous improvement of existing and future career frameworks throughout the business.


What we will be doing

  • Apply advanced knowledge of compensation practices to address complex problems and develop solutions.
  • Actively conduct complicated data analysis, interpret results, present findings, and recommend changes as needed.
  • Perform regular audits of the HRIS data to verify accuracy and ensure consistent global application of title and pay structures.
  • Ensures the compensation programs supports the Company's total rewards strategy and aligns with the Company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Researches and compares incentive compensation plans offered by demographically comparable organizations; assess competitors' plans and makes recommendations for enhancements or improvements required to keep the organization's plans competitive and effective.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust career frameworks and job structure to reflect the evolving state of HID.
  • Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager, Total Rewards, support administration of the annual salary program and Company bonus programs, including system testing and audit reviews of employee data.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, perform survey job matching, and conduct ad-hoc benchmarking and market research as needed.
  • Research and analyze global market data, salary surveys, and compensation trends to drive creative programs and apply applicable knowledge to improve practices at HID.
  • Create internal process documentation and recommend improvements to existing process and procedures.
  • Develops and enhances a global salary structure and career model framework.
  • Stay up to date with global compliance practices, laws, and regulations to ensure HID is represented in the best possible way.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for all compensation related activities.
  •  Other duties may be assigned.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent)
  • 3-5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in the field of compensation
  • Excellent HRIS and compensation systems knowledge (preferably SuccessFactors and/or ADP WFN)
  • Self-motivated, ability to prioritize and multitask in a face pace environment.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple and/or shifting priorities. This is a 'solutions focused' team that rolls up their sleeves and wears many hats. 'Scrappiness' is valued highly.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, work independently and exercise discretion and sound independent judgement.
  • Proficient with MS Suite products with focus in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
