The Marketing Specialist is responsible for retention and account-based marketing programs across HID’s Identification Technologies (IDT) Business Area. Additionally, this role will assist in executing marketing activities and other lead and sales pipeline nurture campaigns. This role will work closely with IDT marketing managers, corporate marketing, sales, and customer service across the different Business Unites within IDT.


The qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of B2B marketing, campaign execution using marketing automation tools, and have experience in a B2B marketing role with responsibilities including digital campaign planning and execution; account-based marketing; content creation; campaign analytics; lead qualification/nurturing. This position will report to the Director of Marketing for the IDT BU and will work in partnership with the IDT marketing managers, customer service and sales organization. The Marketing Specialist will also work closely with other functional areas such as: Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing & Communications, and Channel Program.


This is an exciting, fast-paced position ideal for self-starter with a background in marketing & communications, content development, and digital marketing experience.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Plan and Execute all account-based, database nurture campaigns and customer/channel communications

• Write all content including, presentations, emails, newsletters and marketing assets.

• Works with the global marketing organization in the areas of demand gen, digital, creative services and marketing operations

• Must have working knowledge of a variety of marketing technologies and tools. Ideally using Marketo, Salesforce, Workfront and is able to follow outlined procedures for campaign execution, and creative request

• Set-up and manage customer, channel and other business unit themed virtual events

• Assist with campaign set-up and execution

• Perform campaign analytics and measure performance and other reporting


Education and/or Experience

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or business
  • At least 3 years of experience in B2B marketing communications / demand generation / integrated marketing preferred, with experience in technology industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Marketing automation, Salesforce, Web content management, analytics and business intelligence (reporting and analysis tools)
  • Experience supporting sales to meet or exceed pipeline and revenue targets
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • High self-motivation with a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of and experience with budget management, preferably in Smartsheets or Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well cross-functionally with other team members, customers, sales, etc.
