HID’s Ethics & Corporate Compliance Program is designed to prevent, detect, and mitigate misconduct and ensure HID operates its business with the highest standards of integrity. This role will be leading a global program.

The primary focus of the Senior Director of Ethics & Corporate Compliance is to provide strategic leadership and execution excellence advancing the Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, raising awareness of the program, and fostering accountability for ethics & compliance throughout the organization.

Position reports to the Vice President and General Counsel

 

What you will be doing

  • Oversee, manage, and administer all aspects of the HID Ethics & Corporate Compliance program on a global basis with a focus on the following areas:
    • Ethics & Business Conduct
    • Code of Conduct 
    • Anti-Bribery & Anti-Cooruption 
    • Competition & Antitrust
    • Third Party Risk Management & Due Diligence Conflicts of Interest
    • Gift & Entertainment 
    • Whistleblowing, Reporting Concerns & Anti-Retaliation 
    • Investigations
    • Acquisition Due Diligence & Integration
  • Identify, manage and solve compliance risks, and advise on compliance topics
  • Develop new global compliance programs and implement the same
  • Develop and improve risk management strategies across the global organization
  • Advise HID’s executive management and local business units on the implementation of compliance programs
  • Conduct investigations on compliance matters and regularly report on such matters to the General Counsel
  • Work collaboratively with compliance directors across other ASSA ABLOY global divisions
  • Work cross-functionally with other areas of compliance within the organization, including HR, Trade Compliance, Product Compliance, and Internal Audit
  • Drive adherence to policies and procedures related to compliance
  • Design and deliver compliance training to employees
  • Stay apprised of relevant regulatory developments across HID
  • Continue to increase awareness and promote a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the organization and regularly report to General Counsel and HID’s management on the progress
  • Lead anticorruption reviews and assist with whistleblower investigations
  • Continuously follow up on the implementation of compliance programs
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage ad-hoc compliance related projects and tasks
  • Coordinate with General Counsel, M&A team, and external law firms for pre-closing compliance due diligence, and manage post-closing integration of acquired entities on compliance issues
  • Manage compliance support personnel
  • Engage in other duties, as assigned

 

What we are looking for

  • At least 10 years of experience in compliance, preferably gained from working with compliance matters and leading compliance management in an international organization
  • MBA or Juris Doctor preferred
  • Active compliance certification preferred
  • Business and accounting acumen
  • Solid understanding of corporate controls and governance
  • Ability to perform investigations, and conduct advanced research and complex evaluations
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions and translate findings
  • Knowledge of processes, controls and regulatory and legal requirements in core areas of antitrust/competition, antibribery/anticorruption, and third party risk management
