The Position:

As a SAFe® Solution Train Engineer (STE) you will assume a leadership role to drive towards highly collaborative, cross-functional Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within Physical Access Control using Lean-Agile and Scaled Agile ceremonies and practices.

As the company continually follows Scaled Agile Framework as part of the digital transformation to become more efficient optimizing work and providing the best products and services for our customers, the Solution Train Engineer plays a critical role leading and driving program success, fostering continuous improvement, along with acting as a binding agent that connects a “team of ARTs”.

You will drive the ARTs and Solution teams through execution of Lean agile methodologies and practices, planning on cadence, integrating and delivering incrementally, managing impediments and risks to overall delivery, and coaching teams and individuals through their journey on the agile maturity journey. You will leverage the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) and its underlying principles. As a Lean-Agile advocate and coach you will also have the skills for supporting and executing Program Increment Planning events and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains.

Within this role you will work to manage and optimize the flow of value through the Solution Train using various tools, such as the Solution Kanbans and other information radiators. While working to establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Solution Increments (SIs)


What we are looking for:

The ideal candidate will have at demonstrable experience of leading innovation teams or lean-agile transformations. Broad range of experience contributing to solution development that includes hardware, firmware, software, cloud integration, testing and deployment.

Key skills include:

  • Experience coaching and driving large scale initiatives and/or change management.
  • Solution/Release Train Engineer or Scrum Master experience, related Certification will be a benefit.
  • Ability to manage enterprise-wide programs across geographical regions interacting effectively with senior leadership
  • Strong tactical, strategic thinking, problem solving skills, and leadership
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented environment and influence staff, colleagues, and superiors
  • Able to achieve big picture objectives while paying attention to details
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience of using common Agile tools including Atlassian JIRA and associated applications
