The Inside Sales Representative will conduct outbound communications and campaigns with HID end users, key consultants, strategic business alliances and channel partners. Follow up on leads and prospective new customer inquiries, providing consistent product knowledge and unified messaging in a pre-sales capacity for HID Secure Issuance (SI BA) products and solutions.

The individual chosen for this role will have strong telephone sales experience and techniques, along with proactive outbound sales experience. This individual will play a key role in supporting HID’s Secure Issuance growth in North America.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating opportunities by converting leads and responding to marketing generated campaigns. This is a key sales role, which generates opportunities across many product lines. The ISR will work closely with Marketing as well as the Field Sales Representatives. Product knowledge is a must as well as the ability to conduct Discovery calls and recording sales activities to achieve KPI minimums. Outbound sales activities are required to generate new business.

Ideally, the individual chosen for this key role will have excellent outreach, prospecting, and teleconsulting abilities. In addition, he/she will need strong time management skills and must willing to prospect and acquire new accounts.

What you will be doing

  • Respond to incoming leads in a timely manner and nurture continuously
  • Focus on lead qualification and lead conversion
  • Consistently drive new business through outbound sales activities
  • Conduct discovery calls with prospects
  • Work with Channel and Distribution
  • Log all sales activity in Salesforce
  • Maintain awareness of all marketing campaigns and messaging
  • Support field sales in all aspects of prospecting and lead generation
  • Attend product trainings/webinars as assigned
  • Support other teams as necessary including Customer success team
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, Legal and Finance for supporting sales orders and sample orders.
  • Continuous learning of product enhancements.
  • Attend weekly team calls
  • Adapt to changes internally and in the marketplace, learning the competition
  • Ongoing development of sales and technical skills
  • Understand needs/mandates of certain verticals (i.e. Healthcare, Government)
  • Develop understanding of use cases across all product offerings
  • Understand aspects of pricing and quoting
  • Must be able to close deals

What we are looking for    

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience of working within a busy customer service or inside sales environment, ideally within the security market. (IT and Access control preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in tele-sales, inside sales, or sales assistant and a demonstrated ability to understand and achieve stretch targets. Capable of designing and using metrics to deliver meaningful information measuring own performance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong administrative skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experience working with Oracle and Salesforce an advantage
  • Must be fluent in business English (Written & verbal)
  • Proven & verifiable track record of successful quota achievement.
  • Demonstrated time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Experience of working on projects and evidence of delivering to deadlines
  • Effective and proven database management skills, CRM knowledge
