What you will be doing

  • Manage New Product Introduction transitions through design and into production
  • Support production efforts at global Distribution Centers, Contract Manufacturers and Suppliers
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts to improve yields and reduce costs
  • Responsible for approving and overseeing the design of manufacturing processes and hardware for new product introductions
  • Creation of software, firmware, and other electro-mechanical systems to facilitate the efficient production of products
  • Printed circuit board design for use in production test fixtures
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to develop and document fixture design.
  • Participate in Value Add, Value Engineering (VA/VE) activities and cost reduction efforts for all Printer products and processes.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve internal processes and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills especially for generating and discussing work instructions,
  • Experience developing Windows applications using C# programming language.
  • Experience developing applications that consume data from various data sources like MS SQL, Oracle, MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of source code management and configuration
  • Working knowledge of Arduino microcontrollers
  • Design and develop electronics and software for functional test fixtures used in a production environment.
  • Must be very process driven/focused.
  • Must be a flexible, decisive and proactive problem solver.
  • Must be a champion of change.  Capable of proposing & implementing new ideas regarding simplification and improvement to business processes.
  • Must be a strong communicator and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple priorities at once.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be proficient at conflict resolution.


Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or relevant work experience
  • 3+ years recent Electronic Design and Programming Experience in a production environment desired
  • Demonstrable experience and fundamental understanding of object-oriented programming using C/C++/C# and/or Java as well as relational database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle
  • Previous experience programming chips, flash memory, and RFID tags
  • Familiarity with development IDE’s like Visual Studio, Atmel Studio, etc.
  • Knowledge of online issue tracking tools like JIRA, Helix ALM, etc.
  • Experience with implementation of security protocols and secure implementation of cryptographic techniques
  • Exposure to a variety of software licensing and deployment models
  • Experience with network topologies and cloud architecture
  • Working with USB and/or Ethernet connected devices beneficial
  • Ability to design circuits and create software for electrical test fixtures
  • Experience in designing electrical and software systems used in the final acceptance test of sub-assemblies and finished product
  • Experience in the design and creation of Web sites used in production of product and collection of data at Contract Manufacturers
  • Experience with offshore contract manufacturer’s is preferred
  • Experience in implementing/analyzing SPC controls is desired
  • Experience working with Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies is preferred
  • Knowledge of various development process including SAFe
