We are seeking an operationally focused Senior Financial Analyst to join our HID Global Finance team. This role has a global scope and will serve as key finance support for our Desktop Business Unit within the Secure Issuance (SI) Business Area.


What you will be doing

  • Act as business partner to the SI Desktop Managing Director and other key stakeholders
  • Provide financial insight to the business in assessing risk and opportunities to achieving its financial commitments.  This includes establishing insightful analytics and reporting that enable the business to "see around corners" or better anticipate the future.
  • Design and implement financial processes that deliver consistent and predictable results that link operational performance to the P&L
  • Actively engage and support the SI Finance Leader to meet deliverables during various financial cycles including Month End Close, Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Budget, Forecast cycles and other ad hoc requests
  • Proactively collaborate across multifunctional teams to create an environment that strives for global consistency of best practices identified both internally and externally to the organization
  • Work closely with other members of the HID Global Finance team to ensure financial impacts of business decisions are understood, aligned and communicated - examples include Global Financial Planning & Analysis, Global Cost Accounting, Global Operations & Business Excellence and Global Shared Services
  • Perform product-line and customer profitability analysis and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist with the analysis and integration of new acquisitions
  • Perform monthly analysis of Business Area financial results and prepare management presentations.  Investigate variances from historical performance and against budget.
  • Assist and advise SI Desktop Business Unit Managing Director in preparation of Business Unit strategy requirements, including what-if scenario planning.  Provide strategic recommendations based on data driven analysis.


What we are looking for

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience gained in international/multi-cultural environments
  • Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint) with a solid understanding of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred.  Demonstrated ability to work with ERP systems & standard BI tools - Oracle a plus.
