The Corporate Strategy Analyst will work collaboratively with the SI Strategy & Business Development team supporting strategic planning, market insights, quantitative analysis, and financial modeling activities. This is a unique opportunity to be a core member of a small team working on high visibility strategic projects which are commissioned by the senior leadership of the company. You will be tasked with supporting the leadership team at HID in planning, delivering, and implementing high-priority strategic projects that contribute to HID’s overall business strategy and help drive its successful execution.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conduct research and analysis to support the strategic planning process – i.e., analyze industry trends, the competitive landscape, organic/inorganic growth opportunities, etc.
  • Create statistical models to identify key trends and patterns in external and internal data, forecast business performance, simulate the impact of potential strategic options or decisions
  • Perform other strategic and quantitative analysis analyzing target companies and industries
  • Support the coordination of due diligence efforts by partnering internally with stakeholders such as M&A, Business Unit MDs and corporate functions
  • Aid in preparation of presentations regarding business area strategy, specific acquisition candidates, and business development initiatives
  • Utilize customer information from CRM data and customer research to understand trends and opportunities
  • Summarize insights from analysis and clearly communicate analytical findings in a cohesive story; and articulate an argument to be presented to executives
  • Responsible for building appropriate external and internal client-facing materials
  • Assist business units with ongoing, as well as project-oriented, industry data gathering and analysis

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to construct rigorous financial and market models to test hypotheses or support transactions
  • Ability to present and communicate analytical findings in a concise and clear fashion
  • Ability to design and build effective executive-level presentations
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills, including project structuring and managing multiple work streams independently
  • Ability to quickly learn new industries, markets, technologies, and regions
  • Experience working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel internationally when needed

 

Education and/or Experience          

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Economics is desirable, or other comparable experience with demonstrated analytical capability 
  • 2+ years of experience in a top-tier management consulting firm, corporate strategy, or any strategic function with exposure to consulting, analytics, or modeling

  • Close collaboration with Business Units and Functions when it comes to both planning and execution is key to our long-term success. You need to know how to work with and through complex matrix organizations.
