The Vice President of Strategy and M&A is a key leadership team member of Citizen ID Business Area (CID). You will be responsible for the management of the CID Long term strategy and all CID activities related to the Global acquisition strategy, including CID integration efforts. You will demonstrate ability to provide high-level leadership and vision to drive sustainable growth, organically and acquisitive, and build a close link between HID and CID strategic priorities and how they are developed and communicated. You will develop a global strategy informed by overall business goals and long-term corporate vision. You will facilitate the acquisition process from the identification, evaluation and recommendation of acquisition targets, to conducting detailed strategic and financial analysis and heading the pre due diligence liaison and evaluation together with CID Senior Leadership Team.

• Take the leading role to (co)define and implement the CID long term strategy in business activities
• Identify strategic opportunities and drive discussions around re-use and economies of scale when it comes to our products, technology and solutions
• Oversee close co-operation with CID, and HID Global Strategy and M&A teams and all appropriate stakeholders
• Identify areas of cooperation, suggest priorities and take the lead in areas deemed a priority where they are needed to support the realization of the strategy
• In coordination with the Product Management teams and other appropriate stakeholders, drive the identification of differentiations and capitalize innovations.
• Lead and drive market and competitive assessment and analyses

• Define and implement the CID acquisition strategy in the business areas that demonstrates how CID will achieve its organic and acquisitive growth targets
• Define the business case and oversee the end to end process from approval through to mobilizing and steering the M&A team through the due diligence
• Conduct competitive strategic and financial analysis of potential targets to evaluate, filter and prioritize opportunities - including valuation, due diligence activities, and negotiations
• Prepare briefing and discussion materials on recommended transactions for the HID Global Executive Team and AA Senior Management
• Build the requirements analysis, establish the funnel of opportunities
• Proactively monitor candidate space in relation to CID’s strategies and look after an annual pipeline of M&A opportunities
• Cultivate dialogue with key targets and manage the pace and progress of discussions
• Identify and cultivate relationships with outside parties to further the company’s acquisition goals
• Achieve buy-in from senior management and execute according to pre-determined parameters
• Lead the planning and management of integration efforts for all acquired companies
• Create and execute well-defined integration plans consistent with HID business strategy, timelines and financial targets
• Identify and supervise critical path tasks and ensure completion under aggressive timelines by leading internal and external cross-functional teams: international internal business and financial teams, as well as with external legal, consultant, and investment banking support.
• Coordinate ad hoc research and analysis on various industry related topics, negotiation of key business points and relevant information exchange, and preparation of senior management and board level communications
• Interact and serve as liaison with other HID Global divisions and business units to get their support or support their development strategy globally (strategic fit assessment, due diligence)

Education and/or Experience
• MBA/Master’s degree in Business or related field
• Minimum of 15+ years of experience working in strategy leadership/M&A, with a proven background successfully working in cross-functional multi-cultural teams in an international environment
• P&L experienced
• Strong understanding of financial modeling

• Strong business acumen, innovation and change leadership
• Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively, driving vision and purpose
• Solid influencing and negotiation skills
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity
• Polished communicator with organizational savvy; Strong verbal and written communication
• Strong track record in building high performance empowered teams globally

Language Skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.

Seasoned leader with significant successful experience across P&L management, strategy, Business Development, M&A, Sales & Marketing, Technology and Finance in businesses spanning high tech, Citizen Identity and digital security solutions for governmental or private sector. Successful track-record of establishing strategic partnerships with players in the ecosystem.
Strong record in strategic acquisitions, innovative corporate development.
Accustomed to working in a fast-paced challenging environment.
The successful candidate must have the ability to think strategically about the business and provide evidence of capability and experience to both manage this multi-functional array of responsibilities, and to demonstrate significant potential for future advancement to higher levels of management.
