The Position:

HID Global takes innovative approaches to helping organizations and governments become more secure and productive by protecting the people, data and things most important to them. The Extended Access Technologies business area is a leading provider of Identity and Access Management through embedded and software solutions to assist many customers who want to embed RFID technology into their solutions.

In our office in Krakow, we have a development team responsible for an entire product portfolio in the Smartcard reader area, co-located with other teams also present in this engineering center. We currently seek to recruit a Project Lead for a cross-functional team responsible for our RFID readers. An ideal candidate should have open mind set, possess high organizational skills, be focused on quality, and open to switching to different projects. Some of your tasks will include:

  • Lead an agile team made of firmware, hardware and test engineers
  • Ownership of products backlog
  • Review of product quality issues in collaboration with Tech Support and Pre-Sales teams
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities and represent projects status for technical discussions
  • Provide day-to-day support to team(s)
  • Collaborate with product managers and other teams in roadmap definition
  • Translate requirements and product roadmap to manageable backlog
  • Act as the primary point of contact for scope elaboration
  • Ensure delivery on time of a high-quality end product, that is usable, performant, and maintainable

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of professional experience
  • 3+ years in a team lead/ technical lead position and experience in embedded systems
  • Comfortable working at a hardware level drivers (GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle process and ability to perform business systems analysis
  • A strong team orientation combined with the drive and ability to contribute at the individual level
  • Exceptional communications skills with both technical and non-technical audience
  • Ability to apply QA processes, techniques, and methodologies
  • Flexibility, excellent collaboration skills, ability to plan the workload
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
