HID Global looking for a Mobile Security Expert

We, the HID Identity Technologies Lab, are adding the most talented engineers, technologists and innovation leaders that will help us to build products and services for secure access in the era of IoT. Smart homes, workplaces, cars, events and many other physical and virtual spaces must be accessed securely, without exposing or compromising privacy and digitalized identities of the people.

Currently we are searching for an experienced Mobile Security Expert to join our team in Stockholm.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analysis of mobile device operating systems’ (iOS, Android) attack mechanisms, vulnerabilities and exploits
  • Analysis of the mobile product security requirements
  • Security hardening of mobile apps and Mobile Wallet entries (code writing, code obfuscation, usage of Secure Enclave, usage of Trusted Execution Environment)
  • Preparation of the inputs for a 3rd party security evaluation processes (inputs for security targets, protection profiles)
  • Preparation of product quality assurance testing, product demos, documentation and collaboration with external security evaluation experts.
  • Agile collaboration within a team of more than 20 engineers (mostly on-line, occasional traveling required)
  • Continuously supporting business development with consultancy  about mobile security (for example, creating white papers, participating in internal and external customer meetings and calls).

Education and/or Experience         

  • Reference accomplishments related to mobile security
  • Deep knowledge about security architectures of mobile apps, TEE (Trusted Execution Environment as defined by Global Platform and Google), Secure Enclave (as defined by Apple)
  • Understanding of Secure Element / Java Card principles
  • Understanding of  3rd party security evaluation processes, optionally Common Criteria, European Commission Cybersecurity Guidelines (



  • Language: English, both verbally and in writing
  • Coding: proficiency in either Swift or Kotlin, good command of Java Card, Java, C
  • Security: Knowledge about code obfuscation strategies/techniques and tools
  • Privacy: Knowledge about governmental privacy guidelines (e.g. GDPR).
  • Cryptography: Knowledge about symmetric and asymmetric algorithms, key management schemes.
  • Other: Able to present and communicate efficiently to internal (from developers to C-Level) and external (customers, partners, public speeches at conferences, meetups, etc.) audience.
